Hi, I’m Al, a wedding photographer, capturing beautiful weddings across Somerset and beyond. My home is near Bath, Somerset, where I enjoy country walks with my wife and daughter…with my camera usually close to hand!

I studied fine art in Canterbury and Cardiff, where I first discovered my passion for photography and videography developing black & white film in the dark room. One of the many reasons I love being a photographer is how a single photo can make us feel so many emotions and transport us back to a memory as if it was yesterday.

My photography approach is natural and unobtrusive, using a documentary style to tell the real story of your wedding day, from the quiet, heartfelt moments to the big celebrations. Nothing quite compares to the magic of a wedding, and I genuinely love capturing all the moments that make your wedding day so special from the “I do’s” to the “let’s dance!”.

When you choose me as your photographer, my goal isn’t just to provide you with a beautiful album to cherish for years to come - it’s to be by your side throughout the day. My couples are grateful for the energy I bring to their day - a friendly face, a calming presence, and a helping hand to keep the day running smoothly behind the scenes.

In addition to photography, I also create films. A wedding film allows you to relive your day from a new perspective - the nervous excitement before the ceremony, the laughter of friends and family, the shimmer of the dress in the evening light, and yes, the unforgettable dad dancing at the end of the night.

My wedding films are crafted to tell the story of your day with all the emotion and joy that make weddings so special. I don’t record audio during the ceremony or speeches, as I believe those are personal moments to treasure privately. When you watch your wedding film, you will be transported right back to your wedding day.
