Hi, I’m Al.

I'm a wedding photographer capturing beautiful weddings across Somerset and beyond. My home is just outside Bath, where you’ll often find me out on country walks with my wife and daughter - usually with my camera close to hand.

My journey into photography began while studying fine art in Canterbury and Cardiff. It was there, while developing black and white film in the darkroom, that I first fell in love with both photography and videography . One of the many reasons I love photography is how a single image can instantly transport us back to a moment as if it were yesterday.

When I’m not behind the camera, I enjoy running, skiing, cooking, getting outdoors, and tending to the vegetables in my garden. These days, much of my time is happily taken up by my wonderful one year old daughter.

When you choose me as your wedding photographer, my role goes beyond delivering a beautiful album for you to cherish. I’m there throughout the day as a friendly, calming presence - keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes so you can stay present and fully enjoy every moment together. I’m very lucky to do a job I truly love!

Alongside wedding photography, I also create wedding films and have recently begun offering family photography — something that feels especially meaningful now that I have a young family of my own.
